Bush meets Maliki. May Trade Jobs.

President Bush made a secret trip to Iraq to meet Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki to assure him that the U.S. will continue to support efforts to stabilize and rebuild Iraq. Maliki thanked him and assured him that he would do anything to increase President Bush's approval ratings. After further discussion, the two leaders agreed that the best way to achieve both these objectives can be the employment exchange.

President Bush said: "I am very involved with the U.S. involvement in Iraq, but I do not understand all Americans believe they can win here. Since I know we can win, I can decide that the best way to achieve the goal is to take the job of Prime Minister al-Maliki. If I go ahead with the switch, I expect to be faced as prime minister of Iraq to George Bush. "

The Iraqi prime minister added, "And then I address as U.S. President Nouri al-Maliki. I know that this exchange of jobs proposed to be a great surprise to many Americans, but President Bush and I talked about how this could be a way to give America a president with approval ratings above. I know that language is a bit 'a handicap for both, but I've been listening to Mr. Bush, and I think my mistakes in English are not very more harm than he does. "

I went to scold each other, with Mr Bush saying: "If we make the switch, I think I'll deal with the Iraqi parliament, and I suspect it will be more friendly to Democrats."

Maliki said: "Then I want to board your helicopter to take Baghdad International Airport, so I can fly to Washington and start my new job as U.S. president.

"I have become a Muslim?" Bush called Miliki. "I'm not sure that my constituency again in the United States would have approved."

"Maybe it will get better for me, as President if I become a Protestant," Maliki said. "But I'm not sure how that would go on with my own constituency, either."

While many Americans were unsure about the switch proposed, they were willing to adopt an attitude of wait and see.

As one American commented: "Look, if the former Iraqi prime minister does a good job as president of the United States, I'm fine with that. In fact, I vote to reelect him in 2008. I just need some guarantees, such as see him say the pledge of allegiance. "
